DNA Vault Studio

Molecular data experimentation environment.

Encode → simulate → recover → verify. Encode binary files into symbolic DNA, simulate sequencing damage, recover with ECC and fountain coding, and verify with SHA-256. Computationally simulated — not wet-lab measured.

DNA Vault Studio

Encode, decode, inspect packages, and run molecular storage experiments.

Encode a file, inspect a package, or restore the original. Options (except passphrases) are remembered in this browser.

Input file Drop a file here or browse Size limit: 4 MB (hosted) Type: any binary file Fountain: ≤ 256 KB on hosted No file selected

Hosted limit: 4 MB any file. Fountain encodes are capped at 256 KB on this host — use the local CLI for larger fountain jobs.

About the Engine

DNA Vault converts bytes into symbolic DNA bases for research and software experimentation. It does not order oligos, run sequencers, or claim biological durability.

  1. Hash and optionally compress / encrypt the file.
  2. Chunk or fountain-encode, then map to DNA with a chosen codec.
  3. Download a package; later decode to recover bit-identical bytes.
